Good Morning!
I hope everyone had a great Independence Day with friends and family, I know I did.
Today is a dreary, rainy day here in East Tennessee, which makes a perfect day to sit in a cigar store and try something new.
I walked into Smoking Joe’s in Alcoa, TN and asked Chris what was new and exciting. As usual, he was more than willing to give me a few options, and his honest opinion of all. These opinions lead me to a new cigar that I would have never in a million years have tried. The reason I
wouldn’t have is because of the fairly plain looking packaging, and band, I know its dumb.
Anyway, the cigar I landed on is the Inception 518. Seeing as how I haven’t yet heard of them, I pulled the “about us” section from their website, which is as follows.
“Founded in 2012 by powerhouse brothers Jimmy and Ronnie Zaid, Inception Cigars is the result of years of hard work and dedication in an effort to to fill a void in the cigar market. Through their company, JSR Cigar Distributors and along with Alec Bradley, the Zaid brothers have crafted a line of cigars that is sure to delight even the most discriminating clientele.
The unique and complex flavors of Inception Cigars come hand selected by the brothers themselves, after hearing firsthand what cigar aficionados are looking for. Truly a rare gem, Inception cigars are as close to perfect in character, aroma and quality as it gets. Made from some of the worlds richest tobaccos from the worlds top producing countries; the blend in Inception will surely appeal to anyone. If you seek a highly refined and luxurious cigar brand for a special occasion or have a moment to enjoy yourself each day, make Inception your cigar of choice.”
I also pulled the details of the “518” from their site, I didn’t feel like typing, sorry.

Let us smoke.
First third
This starts out very good. I forgot to mention the pre light, its got a silky wrapper, great construction, and
sweet aroma on the foot. Anyway, the flavors on this are great. Very sweet on the palate, a slight bit of grassy notes, with the perfect amount of spice through the nose. Very promising start.
Second third
And the promise continues! This is really a great cigar. I’m not going to lie, when I heard the words “Alec Bradley” associated with this, I wasn’t expecting too much. I personally have just never been overly impressed with their product. Boy was I wrong. The flavors in this cigar are developing very well. The sweetness has continued to build, as well as developing some more leather notes. It has a really great room
aroma too it. Let’s hope it keeps it up.
Final third / conclusion
Awesome. That is all. Go buy a box or three of these. This is possibly one of my new favorite cigars.
Happy smoking to all.
